Feral Vapours of the Silver Ether album released

Feral Vapours of the Silver Ether
OK, so I'm going into blatant self-promotion mode::::
Our new CarterTutti album
Feral Vapours of the Silver Ether is now available from iTunes and will be available on CD from next week in UK/Europe and in a couple of weeks in the USA. This album has taken us over two years to record, the longest it's ever taken us to finish a mainstream project. And even though I say so myself (I know your thinking "he would say that wouldn't he") it is definitely our most acomplished album... ever. But judge for yourselves, if you go to our MySpace page, or even better visit iTunes, you can hear clips of all the tracks. If you like what you hear please buy a copy... because this is how we make a living. Actually, in a couple of days we'll be opening our new CTI Web Store so if you prefer physical product you can order a CD directly from the artist (us).

Oh... and over there in the left-hand column is my CCCL tab, where you will find a couple of recent updates.

98% done

Infrared
Wow! it's been almost six weeks since I posted any updates here, very remiss of me I must say.
My excuse is that we've been busy finishing our new album (and its variations) and adjusting and tweaking it for final release... i.e.: so it is ready for the various production facilities, factories, printers and pressing plants etc. Which is now about 98% done. In fact as I write this I'm waiting for the door bell to ring with a delivery of the first batch from the CD factory.
We've also been gearing up for the inevitable (but essential) promotional push... which translates to: new photos, press releases, promo lists, advertising (web, viral and print) AND setting up our new mail-order site. Yes, after three years or so we're going back into the mail order business. Which means from October (ish) you'll be able to buy Carter Tutti, C&C and CTI physical product directly from us (new and back catalogue CDs to you and me).
Plus we're updating the Carter Tutti / C&C web site with a makeover.

Jolly jaunt

Cosey - Venice
Just returned form our jolly jaunt to Italy during which we had a wonderful time in Venice and Pisa. Venice is an amazing city, plus we met up with some friends there which made our stay even more enjoyable... and the show completely sold out too! I have posted a few photos on my
Flikr pages. The performances were very well received, even though we changed our Carter Tutti set slightly (from our previous LA 'quad' show) and decided to play it as an hour-long continuos set, without any breaks. Which was a bit of a gamble as it doesn't give the audience a chance to applaud between songs, but hey... we're not a rock n' roll band. Our 're-tweaked' video projections also got a very positive reaction and looked amazing. And yes... we will be releasing the visuals on DVD, hopefully this year.

Our CTI (Conspiracy International) back-catalogue has finally started to appear on iTunes and a few albums are now available to buy:
click this C&C iTunes link. It's a vast catalogue of albums and we have no control in what order they appear but one of the first is a new Chris & Cosey compilation: COLLECTED WORKS 1981-2000, it features rare & hard to find C&C tracks from the last 19 years: full details are on the CarterTutti.com site. My own solo albums will also be available soon too. Click this link for what's currently available.

Coming along nicely

The new Carter Tutti album is coming along nicely and not really like nothing we've done before.
I've also just heard that the first part of our CTI download catalogue should be going online shortly.

Got a new Quad G5, very happy

Just got a new Quad G5, very happy (an early Xmas pressie to myself but paid for by Sony Columbia work, and thanks' to Apple for such a generous discount). Very busy prepping new & old material for the TG Berlin shows and post-recording sessions. We're playing one show in four channel/quad so trying out lots of interesting placement ideas. Cosey's up to her eyes collating, cataloguing and packing our TG archive material for the Berlin Art exhibition, it's gonna be amazing. The C&C+CTI catalogue (ALL of it!) has now been sent off to be magically transformed into downloadable files for iTunes and such sites... hurrah! We've had to close our on-line web store due to 'technical difficulties'... Booo!. But it will be back in the New Year, just bigger and better! In the meantime most of our current catalogue can be found on Amazon and in all good records stores.
And if I don't see you in Berlin Happy Xmas and New Year!

New distribution

We've just posted our EVENT HORIZON list-cum-diary page on the Carter Tutti site.

There's a good review of the
Carter Tutti 'CABAL' album in the October issue of THE WIRE.

Have also begun transferring our decaying video archive onto DVD (v long term project).

Audio mastering for the TGV DVD is finally completed.

Our CTI CD catalogue will now be distributed by
CARGO RECORDS.

Spineless bastards!

The CTI studio rebuild is pretty much finished. Phew... what a massive job that turned out to be!

Yes it's true... World Serpent, our distributor for the the past 10 years, has gone belly up owing us a lot of money! The whole fiasco has been handled really badly and two words I've heard a lot in the past few weeks have been "spineless bastards!", and you can quote me on that.

Mastering & remastering

April:
It's that time of year again and I'm rationalising the studio (
yet again), which means I have a bunch of gear for sale. Follow this link for more details (ebay link expired).

March:
No news updates lately as I've been busy and there always seemed to be something that needed doing more than updating this site (
till now that is).
I've been editing and mastering/remastering some C&C and CTI material (
more news on that soon). Also, since the TG24 launch and TG exhibition we've been involved in another TG related project that we'll be announcing in a month or so.

We've also aquired some new gear and audio & video software, which we're very excited about and once we've got to grips with it all we'll be using it for some new projects and releases in the coming year.

Ear Three album released

I have just received news from World Serpent that my new EAR THREE solo CD is now in stock. The press release can be read on the World Serpent web site news pages and further details about the CD can be found on my EAR THREE page. You can buy the CD at most good record stores, online from CTI Mail Order or direct from World Serpent.

Still re-mastering the Throbbing Gristle 24-hour CD boxed set.
